blurry scary halloween

this is what ward halloween trunk-or-treat looks like when you hate using the flash:

but it can look nice and under control sometimes

 we were going to be lumberjacks but forgot to get suspenders and boots and tanner did find an axe but it was actually a tomahawk.

 so instead we turned into happy campers and turned on the flash.

 and YW came - danielle was a dead missionary and jenna was a fairy.

KC and Sarah were dead missionaries too. scary. clever. but if i was a missionary i'd think scary.

 i was really proud of my not scary idea of turning our trunk into a campsite!

and especially happy that the christmas lights worked. my dreams came true.

 linus looked so cute in his spiderman costume!

and was so good despite the huge crowd aaand being sick. we've missed the lund family lots.

 and sky brought his best car!!

 we drove in behind him without knowing it was their car and couldn't get over what a cool car it was. and felt especially happy when we found out it's the one sky has been working on.

fail.

but the night was not a fail. we loved our first ward trunk or treat and can't wait til next year.

we'll bring more candy so we don't run out in the first ten minutes.

have our costumes ready before 15 minutes before the party starts.

not come from 6-7 because nothing actually happens during that time besides thirst.

and come up with more phrases to say to the childrens as they walk by.
