tanner's birthday started out with an alarm playing black eyed peas "the time" and a mini dance party pre-birthday breakfast surprise at the early hour of 5:45 am (this is a normal wake up time for him so it's not as sad as it sounds)
we quickly bundled up and jumped in the car as tanner voluntarily covered his head with his jacket so he could keep the surprise of where we were going. and then started playing a nice game of acting like he was kidnapped and guessing the exact streets we were on so the jacket came off soon afterwards.
we drove down the pch and found the perfect destination spot between malibu and LA
and someone forgot to change the white balance on her camera setting so this whole photo was mostly blue which is why it is now black and white. looks much better this way. trust me.
and back to color we go.
we had a simple breakfast of bagel sandwiches, grapes, yogurt and hot chocolate while we enjoyed the peace of our little spot in the early morning hours while we watched a surfer catch some great waves.
it was the perfect way to start out my love's birthday.
