in the last week we:

we were rejected by the LACMA (but we already know that)

 we went to mormon dodger night on friday! we tried our hardest to get there on time to see president uchtdorf throw the opening pitch but i didn't get off work until 6:30 and despite tanner's efforts of taking public transportation and leaving 2 hours early...he got there an hour late and only 10 minutes before me! which translates to 3 hours of commuting to the game (it would take 20 minutes without traffic) and that, my friends, is a classic example of LA traffic. the dodger stadium is probably the worst place you can drive to on a friday night with traffic being the worst going east and there being only way for people to get there off the freeway. it's just plain silly if you ask us.

anyway - back to the night, president uchtdorf threw the opening pitch and was a hit! alex boye sang the most soulful rendition of the national anthem, so many dodger dogs were eaten, we got to watch fireworks on the field (and listen to linkin park in the background - weird), and hang out with tyler and clare! it was a big big success in our books.

 oh and tanner took the best crazy picture eva.

 we had a friend beach day on saturday and this panoramic shot was way cool when all the surfers were standing in front of me. the dudes surfed, the ladies chatted, and everyone had a really nice time.

i'm glad i snapped a pic of eric at least (to the right) since it was his birthday the next day aaand he and sarah moved back to utah on monday! we will miss those friends a lot.

took a magical drive through topanga canyon sunday (as you know)

and i forgot to acknowledge that topanga canyon really is the best name! corey and topanga!

 i had the girliest lunch break tuesday and treated myself to some sephora goodies such as and: new festive nail polish, new lipstick and new eyeliner. i probably could have bought the nail polish somewhere else but the lipstick and eyeliner was worth purchasing there. 

don't worry though, sisters - still a drugstore make up girl through and through.

 we met up with LDS Law school friends jeremy and natalie at the park across the street tuesday night for some slack lining fun and it was so nice! they had cute baby kaitlin there to play with and it was nice to be outside relaxing with friends. if only they weren't transferring along with the rest of the world!

 and! last the best of all the game! 

right before we went to the park tanner got an email telling him he made it onto law review!!!!

i'm so proud of that guy for all of his hard work and grateful for all he does for our little family.
oh - so we celebrated by going to yogurtland. obvi. where else would we go?
