spring break has fallen on the best weeks for us the past two years! last year we decided to come home for spring break and ended up being there for conference when my mom received her calling and this year we decided to go home to spend the weekend with baby jack. we were planning on jack being about a month old by the time we got there but he was born the verrryy day before! we were so so excited and relieved especially because we were worried that he would hold out until april before coming and then we'd miss him all together. but luckily this was not the case and we were dying to get that little babe in our arms and have a weekend full of burton family fun time.
1. boarding a plane on the runway is always exciting - something that's not too exciting is finding out that your exit row seats are on the row that doesn't recline. made for quite the uncomfortable ride - especially for this pregnant gal.
2. we were originally flying standby on jetblue (thanks to h.jones) but weren't able to get on our flight and had to switch to delta. i had baby jack's little blanket and mandi and bryce's sprinkles cupcakes as part of my carry-on luggage and i was bound and determined to get those little gifts to them and baby jack ASAP.
3. utah lake was the funkiest color but the clouds and land looked so nice!
4. nicest craig p picked us up from the airport and took us straight to the hospital to meet baby jack who was obviously excited to meet us! look at his little smiiiile!!!
5. one of 70 pictures i took of him in our 30 minute visit. look at that sweet little slice of heaven.

7. baby jack's biggest fans. i can't get enough of that little babe's hair and cheeks.
8 & 9. loved seeing this pretty mama get to snuggle with her newborn for a change! mj and brycie earned a normal hospital experience with a newborn.
10. we got to babysit the twins overnight on thursday and just ate them right up. owi was a little sick but was still so adorable. as you'll see in the following 50 million pictures i took..
11. trying on uncle tanner's glasses - i love how the stayed on owen's face just fine and couldn't even fit isaac's face.
12 - 14. a deadly battle between the twins. seeing these two play dead is just about the coolest thing you'll ever see.
15. march madness in real life.
16 & 17. we had so much fun playing with the boys and just let them do whatever made them happy that night pretty much. including hanging out on the bathroom counter almost naked. i loved this scene.
18. worst pregnancy photo to date but loved catching up with these sweet girfs! brooke and david had a brilliant plan to meet up at the park for a picnic dinner with whole foods pizza and we stayed as long as possible until our frozen limbs couldn't take it anymore. and we were so happy newly engaged lauren could join us!
19. fun backyard time at gramma linda's with the karren babies. maxwell on that tramp was soo cute yelling "tramp-o-liiiine!" the entire 30 minutes he jumped his heart out.
19 & 20. my mom picked the boys up saturday morning before the easter egg hunt so mandi and bryce could have the morning off and we were all dying over isaac's outfit choice along with his double spoon action while eating cereal. whatever makes them happy!
21. young women's broadcast with this sweet little beehive! it was her first broadcast and she was such a little doll. i haven't ever attended one of these broadcasts and was overwhelmed the entire meeting. it was amazing.
22. loved having a night out with these sisters and cute niece.
23. i got emotional as soon as we got to temple square and saw all of the young women flocking to the conference center. after experiencing young womens in LA and being released from my calling last sunday, i was feeling a little bit tender and just so overwhelmed with gratitude for my experience in that calling. the young women really are amazing and i loved seeing them all together learning from such incredible leaders. though they may be few in numbers here, they are not alone and i wish my YW could have attended with me. it was incredible.
24. always love being at this temple.
25 and 26. last minutes of snuggle time with angel baby jack. i sat with him on my chest for about 30 minutes and just ate up every second. he really is the sweetest little thing and just makes me die of excitement for my little baby (and his best buddy) to come next month!!
27. stripe twin time with the little easter bunny.
28. sweet lin dropped us off at the airport. i love this picture of her - she is pure beauty inside and out. couldn't be more grateful to have her for my mom. and we were even matching twins!
29. california greeted us with cloudy skies but they were really pretty from above.

You guys are the best! Having you there to stay with the boys (and clean our whole house you angels you) and to meet baby Jack was pure heaven! I love thee!
