morris tanner - you are TWO months old!

what in the world? how did two months just fly by faster than they ever have in my life.

morris, my lovey, you are a joy! this is what has been going on the past month:

- you are so good at smiling now! you aren't into patty cake still. in fact, i think you think it's a pretty weird thing that i try to make you do. however, you loove when people stick out their tongue at you and wiggle it around or whatever - you love it all! that's a sure fire way to get you to smile. you also love when your daddy does his special whistle to you.

- you recognize your daddy's and my voice so well and even like to hear them since you smile pretty big when we start talking to you. we feel like a million bucks every single time this happens.

- you haven't slept through the night just yet but you just started to get on a pretty regular schedule this week and only wake up once during the night for feedings now! you eat around 10 pm, 3:30 am, and 7:30 now. pretty darn good if you ask me!

- mylanta no longer has to be your best friend and i think every single one of us is thrilled about it! i'm sure this has something to do with the fact that i can't nurse you anymore and you're now a formula baby so it's happy and sad but we're glad your tummy isn't as sad any more!

- bath time is your favorite time of day. you kick and kick your legs all around in the bath and get so relaxed. it is so fun to watch. you even started crying today when i took you out because you weren't quite ready for the fun to stop. 

- you are such a good talker! you love to make sounds with your voice and coo, goo, squeal, grunt, etc. as much as possible. it is so fun to hear your sweet sounds!

- you are unbelievably strong for a two month old. you hold your head up almost always on your own and love to stand. sometimes you will stand up and hold your head up at the same time and don't know how to release so you start to shake a bit and it is preetttyy funny. 

- you are so close to rolling over during tummy time! you roll about halfway over and then come back down but i swear you are going to roll over aaanny minute now.

8 week appointment with dr. bean is in two weeks so we'll post your stats when we get them.
