week in photos

we went to typhoon to hear tanner's law school friend, brent, play in his jazz band and finally found success!! no thanks to our first attempt in hollywood or second attempt on NYE for the greatest party we've ever been invited to attend. 

the venue is a restaurant attached to the tiny santa monica airport and it was way rad! lots of pretty airplane lights and great sorbet for me and tanner's favorite chocolate molten cake.

 maybe we were dead the rest of the week? probably.

friday we ate at islands for a nice burger and ditched our idea of going to a movie and went home to watch "where the wild things are" since i've been wanting to watch it for ages and ages and years and years. or just the last couple weeks. and also ditched that idea, accidently, by falling asleep before it started.

saturday was fun day for family! lincoln's rugby team had a tournament in santa clarita which allowed us to drive farther north on the 405 than we've ever done and see him play some pretty fierce rugby (for all we know. i might not ever understand that sport). 

 then we went to our favorite $2.75 sushi stop. judge us. but really, we feel great about it. look how clean! and the rolls are pretty small but fill us up really nicely and we like sitting at the bar and watching them make our food. 

 see - there's proof of how great we feel about it. so great.

 then we partied hard with the church for the rest of the weekend. attended our adult session of stake conference saturday night and got to finally meet whitney's husband, chip, and gossip with danny about the fashion girls in his ward. aaand then go to a great ice cream party at a friends house and meet all the new couples in the ward! how are there so many? tanner and i are no longer the newest and have been replaced by 6 or more new couples. i feel pretty great about that.

theeeen sunday we jumped onto the vespa in my skirt and tanner's suit and drove to the church. i loved every second of it and felt so city. and then we ran into favorite sister brinkerhoff from the temple and took a matching hair picture. 

 and maybe you know this but maybe you don't - bryce winkelman is one of the funniest/grossest/best people alive. and here is one reason why: (don't forget to notice his email address of EMM4life which stands for england manchester mission 4 life. atta boiii)

and that was that weekend. now back to coughing out the rest of my sinus infection and continuing my overtime work hours and loving the rainy CA day. 

(someone teach me how to not be afraid of driving in the rain? what is happening to me!!!)
